Why Flux

Flux focuses on three important elements to provide a social toolkit for the new internet:

Privacy & Data Sovereignty

Through leveraging scalable, distributed technologies, Flux provides its members with a censorship-resistant experience, greater privacy, and full ownership of their data.

Essential Social Infrastructure

Flux is primarily focused on building the missing decentralized social infrastructure. We offer communities a range of useful tools to manage their coordination, like p2p messaging, file sharing, wikis, and feeds for longer-form discussions. We aim to pioneer a social layer that can truly scale and handle a high level of throughput without latency or gas fees.

Maximizing Composability

While we are initially focused on building a scalable, decentralized messaging infrastructure for communities, we believe that all the individual components of the distributed coordination stack will eventually become consolidated into one interface.

This is why we've co-developed a spanning layer that enables to Flux interface with any Layer 1 infrastructure and therefore, any web3 service. Flux transcends the barriers between apps in both web2 and web3 and allows communities to compose incredibly dynamic experiences by building their own features or integrating their favorite existing tooling across governance, asset management, and more.
